Tourists on the Romanian coast were surprised by what they saw in the water. With the waves of the sea, an injured dolphin was washed ashore.
The dolphin was pulled from the water in an attempt to save it, but unfortunately, it had no chance. Experts confirm that it was a mammal of the species Delphinus delphis.
Several injuries were discovered on its body, likely caused by fishing nets.
In the Black Sea, there are three species of marine mammals: the Common Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena), the Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis), and the Risso’s Dolphin (Grampus griseus).
