Twenty-two years ago, Jane Beck decided to radically change her life.
To do this, she bought an old house located in the forest.
At the time, it cost only $75.
Everyone who knew Jane closely couldn’t appreciate her purchase because the house was uninhabitable.
It was missing basic amenities like electricity and heating.
The roof was in a state of disrepair.
The hostess loves simplicity, so this interior might not appeal to sophisticated connoisseurs.
But when comparing the state of the house after the purchase to how it looks today, the transformation is impressive.
Jane has outfitted it with a sauna, a hot tub, a landscaped garden, and a sunny terrace.
Jane lives and works here.
She is a patchwork expert and runs her own workshop.
Local shepherds rent rooms from her.
The owner has added her own style to the original old-time atmosphere, mixing light pastel colors with darker shades of red.
Jane loves to admire the house at sunset.
Interestingly, the interior of the house seems quite simple.
It can’t be called a palace or a royal residence.
People dislike pomp; for them, comfort and coziness are the most important.
They don’t like rich interiors.
