The Filipino trio Miss Tres made a big splash on Britain’s Got Talent, strutting onto the stage in glamorous silver dresses as if they were walking down a runway.
They told Simon Cowell that their dream was to be like Destiny’s Child or the Spice Girls, but hinted at a “surprise” for everyone.
When the music started, instead of “Baby One More Time,” they performed Tom Jones’ “Sex Bomb” with a powerful baritone voice.
The 35-43-year-old Miss Tres knew how to captivate an audience.
Judge David Walliams was particularly impressed, and the whole room erupted in applause as the trio began to sing.
They showed off groovy dance moves, took turns with the lead vocals, and harmonized perfectly.
Their rich voices paid tribute to Tom Jones’ iconic song.
The unique audition was a hit with viewers at home, reaching 56 million views and making Miss Tres one of the most popular acts on Britain’s Got Talent.
They became one of the top 24 acts in the show’s history.
The live audience was equally thrilled, giving the trio a standing ovation.
After their performance, Cowell jokingly asked the group,
“Were you hiding a little secret from us at the beginning?”
One member replied, “Guess, Simon,” then dramatically lowered their voice and said,
“Surprise!”
Amanda Holden praised them, saying,
“The voices were fantastic.
You look stunning.”
Miss Tres also performed on Asia’s Got Talent, where their video garnered 35 million views.
