“When Hannah bought the old Victorian house, the family regretted that it was falling apart.
The mother of three children, Hanna Janickiewicz from Merseyside, England, purchased the beautiful Victorian mansion in 2013.
But the house’s former splendor had faded: on the outside, it was cracked and decaying, and it was better not to go inside.
Although the 41-year-old liked renovations, she knew that the house would require a lot of effort and money, so she put the project on hold for a while.
In 2019, Hanna decided to seriously consider it.
The villa was in such poor condition that it would have been easier to tear it down, but the woman wanted to renovate it.
This included replacing all the plumbing, redoing the floors, replacing windows, and even redesigning some walls, and it took more than six months for the team to restore the external masonry.
Hanna had to invest a lot of work, but she constantly changed the house and thought about the design.
“Honestly, it was the worst house on the street. And I wanted to create a clear and open space that could be used. I liked the original look of the house and tried to preserve its spirit and main features,” reveals Hannah.
Thanks to the renovation, Hanna was able to turn her house into a gem of the town.
The mansion’s value increased by $216,000, but the mother of three doesn’t think about selling it.”
