Everyone laughed at me when I showed them the apartment I inherited from my father! 😂🥱
People advised me to sell it, but I had different plans! 🤭😏
Nobody believed I could turn this “eyesore” into something beautiful, but the final result was amazing, as you can see in this article! 👇
The protagonist of today’s story is a young and ambitious woman working as a furniture designer.
She inherited this apartment from her father, who spent his entire life working as an architect.
Although her father did some renovations, the woman decided to completely reimagine the existing spaces and give the apartment a second chance.
She chose to hire an interior designer.
They started the renovation process with a complete redesign.
They added a long hallway to the living room and relocated the entrance to the kitchen.
The flooring here consists of tiles that mimic wood.
Although the space is very tight, the designer dared to paint the walls and ceiling a deep, rich green instead of a typical light color.
To the right of the entrance is a bench with a shoe rack and an open hanger for outerwear.
A built-in cabinet was installed here, which houses a tray for the cat.
The living area features herringbone parquet flooring, with the walls and ceiling painted in a light shade.
There’s a snow-white bookshelf, and in the center of the room, there’s a cozy seating area with a TV setup.
Closer to the window is a dining area with antique chairs.
Since the apartment has gas, a full partition wall with a door was installed between the kitchen and the living room.
A custom-made corner suite was installed to utilize every inch of space efficiently.
The facade of the suite was chosen in a calm gray tone.
For the backsplash tiles, however, a lovely mint color was selected, becoming the main color accent in the room.
The refrigerator now stands where the former passage used to be.
This space was converted into the main bedroom.
The walls were covered with green wallpaper, and the accent wall was decorated with a floral pattern.
They decided to install panels on this wall as well.
A bed with pink upholstery was also placed here.
By the window, there’s a dresser and a large mirror.
Since the owner often works from home, she needed a fully functional office space that met all her needs.
This room was divided into two functional areas:
the first is at the entrance, a relaxation area; the second, closer to the window, is the working area.
Emphasizing the zoning through the wall colors was also part of her plans:
the relaxation area was painted green, while the working area was painted white.
They chose not to combine the bathroom and toilet, as this is practically inconvenient.
Due to the redesign, the hallway area is now connected to the bathroom.
This decision made it possible to accommodate a washing machine here.
As for the decor: white rectangular tiles were chosen for the walls, along with a moisture-resistant pink paint.
